Community Nurse is dedicated to enhancing the health of our community. Community nurses value patient dignity, community collaboration and prevention and wellness by delivering coordinated and integrated health care services and education. Over 3.5 million rural residents turn to Community Nurse every year. Outlying community patients are our neighbors, local small business owners and families in temporary crisis. Rural patients are employed but their employers do not offer medical insurance or they are self employed. Some rural patients have jobs, sometimes two, and still have to choose between rent, food and medical care. Community nurses are here to help keep our community healthy.
This webliography I have developed is educational and informative links to websites and journals on both community nursing and ruarl nursing since they go hand in hand. Finding solid information to give to patients and or family members in rural areas can be challenging. Provided resources for these individuals does not always reach their homes due that many do not have any internet access and some with much less than that.
